About

FXLows tracks how currencies move day to day — especially the big drops and multi-year lows that matter to travellers, expats, online shoppers and anyone sending money abroad.

Where the data comes from

All rates come from the euro foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank, around 16:00 CET on each working day, with history back to 1999. Rates against the euro are shown exactly as published. Every other pair (for example USD to JPY) is a cross rate we derive from the two ECB euro rates. Source: ECB statistics.

What this is not

These are daily reference rates, not live market prices, and not the rate your bank or card provider will give you. The site is updated automatically once a day.
